OTM seeking an IT Analyst for long term project (9-12+ months) for stable/public company. Pay rate negotiable DOE.

*Must Have Search Implementation experience

**Must be local and have local experience (local = San Francisco Bay area)

An IT team is embarking on an Enterprise wide project to improve their search capabilities. The strategic direction of the team is to implement and showcase Search capabilities within Company. The search project is a key enabler of this strategy. The role will be part of a larger program encompassing both business users, business operations and IT. The ideal candidate must have Enterprise Search implementation experience.

Key responsibilities

� As the Search Subject Matter Expert (SME), interact with the SME���s in various business units and functional domains, to gain an understanding of Enterprise requirements (including workshops)
� Perform IT / Business requirements analysis and documentation using industry-standard methodologies
� Create and document business use cases for Search across the company, clearly articulating business processes with concrete examples. Complete business process improvement analysis and give recommendations
� Lead open discussions on forums, and gather requirements from various users across the Company, proactively; be able to
Prioritize IT requirements and work with the PM to develop a roadmap for future phased releases of Search
� Conduct needs/gap analysis with current Enterprise Search Solution.
� Work with UX (user experience) team members and web developers to plan and articulate the design requirements for the front end user interface for search
� Work with user interface developers to ensure that they understand the user interface requirements for the Search interface (front end)
� Work with business unit SMEs during the development lifecycle to ensure what is implemented meets business requirements
� Work with IT to clarify requirements (FRDs) and generate test plans as needed during design, development, and test cycles
� Provide documentation and project status updates to PMs and management periodically regarding requirements and their prioritization, especially at project checkpoints and milestones
� Assist in testing of requirements during Test Cycles and ensure traceability of requirements through to launch
� Provide team leadership on the project team and work with global partners.

Skills Required:

� Strong IT analysis skills and employment history, with knowledge in Search applications, preferably Enterprise Search
� Strong written and verbal communication skills
� Industry-standard IT analysis methodologies
� Results-oriented and a self-starter
� Team player that can help drive change through process analysis and improvement
� Willingness to learn about new technologies, and areas such as video and audio search, Web 2.0
� Ability to exercise judgment and apply problem solving skills to obtain solutions
� Familiar with Project Life Cycle methodologies
� IT Analyst Certification preferred
� Comfortable working with standard applications for project management
� Experience working on intranet development projects required
