[KITlist-Tech] Project Manager - Release (Silicon Valley, CA)

OTM seeking a Project Manager for long term project a excellent Client Company. This individual will project manage releases for Web based eCommerce Applications. Pay rate negotiable DOE.

** Local candidates with local experience preferred (Local = San Francisco Bay Area).

**Must Have "Large Scale Release Management" Experience

Job Responsibilities:
•Autonomously manage large scale releases of varying scale and complexity
•Coordinate with cross-functional teams on release components and requirements
•Review project releases to ensure smooth integration
•Develop detailed release plans
•Help prioritize team activities and drive resolution of releases related issues/dependencies
•Effectively communicate status and issues to team members, management and development community.
•Assist with management of tools or infrastructure related projects
•Anticipate issues and manage risks
•Help establish processes for team members to ensure release goals are met
•Manage development of process and status documentation
•Plan and manage post-implementation support to ensure service levels are maintained


Technical Skills Required
•Experience with Cross functional teams such as QA, Engineering, SCM, etc.
•Experience with Production Websites, Change Management
•Strong Experience with Infrastructure Knowledge Base and Large Scale Releases- Understanding of n-tiered architecture concepts
•Aptitude for grasping new technical concepts involving tool development
•Knowledge of key architecture components (e.g., web servers, firewalls), standards (e.g., HTML, XML) and concepts (e.g., security, scalability, SOA)
•Experience with large scale online services
•Linux Environment


Qualifications:
•Minimum of 6-7 years of project release management in a Web or e-Commerce environment.
•Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects in a matrix-ed environment is required.
•Ability to work in an ambiguous and always fast-paced environment is required.
•Demonstrated ability to deliver large scale projects on-time with consistently successful results while working cross-departmental is required.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required.
