Proteus is looking for User Experience Interns to join an exciting and fast-paced start-up in the health & wellness space. We are passionate about human centered design, and our solution spans software, hardware and service components. Interns will have the opportunity to identify and tackle a unique design challenge either individually or as a team, and also assist on other ongoing User Experience and Product Development efforts. Possible project areas could include:
Research a target population and identify specific design requirements
Define and build behavior change mechanisms using our technology
Prepare detailed design of software interfaces
Define and prototype service offerings
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Join the Proteus UX team for 12 weeks
Complete an internship project either alone or with a team; the internship project is likely to span all aspects of design from early ethnography through detailed design
Present work to senior company leadership
Assist on User Experience efforts as needed
Are You a Fit?
Qualifications
Experience with user research
Experience with rapid prototyping
Demonstrated skill with a design craft
Ability to work independently and as a core team member
Ability to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated passion for human centered design and for health care
Education and/or Experience
Applicants should be pursuing graduate degrees relevant to Human Centered Design and User Experience (e.g. any design discipline, Human Computer Interaction, psychology, cognitive science, communication).
