This involves:
- Working directly with key application developers to understand the current and future problems they are solving and to design data flows and structures and create and optimize core parallel algorithms to provide the best solution on GPU.

- Collaborating closely with the architecture, tools and system software teams at NVIDIA to influence the design of next-generation architectures, software platforms, and programing models by investigating impact on application performance and developer productivity.

Application domains include geosciences, life sciences, computer-aided engineering, computational fluid dynamics, computational chemistry, computational physics, computational finance, electronic design automation, data mining, medical imaging, and many more from both academia and industry.

REQUIREMENTS:

- A degree from a leading university in an engineering or computer science related discipline (BS; MS or PhD preferred)

- Strong knowledge of C/C++ and/or Fortran.

- Strong knowledge of programming techniques and algorithms.

- Strong mathematical fundamentals, including linear algebra and numerical methods.

- Experience with parallel programming, ideally CUDA C/C++ and OpenACC.

- Good communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization skills.

MACHINE LEARNING / CUDA SOFTWARE ENGINEER

NVIDIA is hiring CUDA Machine Learning engineers and research scientists for a GPU-accelerated Machine Learning team. Academic and commercial groups around the world are using GPUs to power a revolution in machine learning, enabling breakthroughs in problems from image classification to speech recognition to natural language processing. Join the team which is building software and hardware solutions which will be used by the entire machine learning community. Ability to work on a fast-paced customer-oriented team is required and excellent communication skills are a must.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or Artificial Intelligence.

- Expertise in deep learning, deep neural networks, convolutional neural networks, random forests, classifiers, feature representations, and/or related techniques.

- Strong track record of academic or industrial research, with an emphasis on solving real-world problems.

- Occasional travel to conferences and for customers visits may be required.

- Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design.

- GPU programming experience (CUDA or OpenCL) desired but not required
