Location: Remote

Role: Oracle Applications Database Administrator
Environment: Oracle Apps Release 12.1.3 running on Oracle Database 11g (11.2.0.1) on a F5 Load Balancer
Third Party Applications:
• Peoplesoft
• Autotime
• Bank interfaces that require SCP of files by users to apps tiers
Responsibilities:
• 24x7 On-call support of Oracle Applications Database Environment
• Plan and coordinate application/database changes, installation of upgrades, patches and new versions,with the Systems DBA and Infrastructure teams.
• Work closely with functional end users and development team to support Oracle Applications, Development tools and third party solutions
• Supports the development team in performance tuning, trouble shooting and issue resolution
• Propose and Apply recommended patches in production environment after going through formal change management process
Qualifications:
• At least 8 years of experience as an Oracle Applications DBA with at least five years in version 11i or above
• Experience with Oracle Applications Release 12 required
• Hands on experience with Implementations, Upgrades, Architecture, Performance Tuning
• Must have exposure to supporting multiple implementations of Oracle Applications through GO-LIVE and production support
• Hands on experience with Linux preferred
• Should possess ability to identify and resolve performance issues with Oracle Applications technology stack.
• Expert in Oracle Applications technical architecture.
Strong Oracle forms/reports/patching skills
• Should have experience supporting RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Extensions) development team. Works with RICE team to determine system data management requirements, implements supporting databases and monitors performance
• Should have Multi-node implementation experience; applying patches, cloning, trouble-shooting concurrent managers, and trouble-shooting forms/reports issues, configuring load-balancing
• Formal Oracle Certification a plus
Soft Skills:
• Ability to communicate effectively with a remote user base
• Strong Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Team player who has customer focus and brings expertise to the team
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced implementation environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
