Position Title: Technical Trainer

This role is responsible for teaching learning content to business customers regarding software products features and best practices to improve business efficiencies within their pharmacy business. The training focus of this position is on the delivery of Instructor-Led Training (ILT) programs for Point of Sale (POS) products and Pharmacy Systems. As an integral part of the Training Team you will be tasked with developing and delivering interactive and creative training programs to educate clients, as well as employees, on System Administration, POS functionality and Pharmacy workflow processing. Training of clients will take place predominantly at the client's site but may also take place via distance learning over the internet. Ability to quickly learn new software and develop quality programs, as part of a training team, is a key to success in this role.
This role may interface with business customers and functional organizations and may be required to conduct training needs analysis and develop technical training specifics to hit targeted objectives. Some training courses and materials may deal with complex technical situations for multiple products. Prepared lesson plans can be created by the trainer from software documentation, field requirements, and/or engineering documentation and interaction with programmers, software engineering and technical support may be required to ensure that course material reflects current product features. This role may be required to be involved with A/V, HW, and Training Environment set up, testing and document maintenance.
Operates under general supervision and provides status updates for transparency of on-site implementations. Travel target is 75% and candidate must demonstrate previous travel experience.
Education: BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Entry level experience in technical training, field sales, product support, and/or consulting. Competitive candidates will have an understanding or pervious exposure/experience in more than one of the following areas:
- Pharmacy or Healthcare Industry
- Pharmacy System Application
- POS Functionality and capabilities
- B2B Software Implementation or large scale rollouts
- SW Application Training
- Instructional Design and/or Technical Writing
- Webex Functionality and capabilities or Virtual Classroom Instruction
- Technical Customer Support or IT helpdesk
Training/Education - Advanced
Advanced Communication Skills - Intermediate
Communications - Intermediate
Ability to write technical documents and end-user documentation - Advanced
Effective Training Methodology - Intermediate
Implementation - Intermediate
