You are an experienced hands-on software engineer with proven track record handling data storage and analysis systems on 24x7, high-traffic, SaaS environments. You're ambitious, focused and now you're looking to make an immediate and lasting impact on your next career project. Responsibilities:
•Design databases and schemas
•Devise storage strategies among Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB and Hadoop
•Design and implement Data Layer code
•Port RDBMS triggers and stored procedures
•Work closely with a team of smart, like-minded engineers, DBAs and product managers
Qualifications and Requirements:
•6+ years of experience working on robust, scalable software
•Extensive experience with database design and modeling a must
•Strong understanding of scaling and performance issues in high-traffic sites a must
•Strong experience working with Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Hadoop or other NoSQL technologies
•Deep knowledge of Java, Spring and Hibernate
•Knowledge of Solr/Lucene a plus
•Strong knowledge of OO concepts and CS fundamentals
•Experience working in a fast-paced, agile development process
•A positive "can-do" attitude
•Excellent communication skills
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; MS or equivalent advanced degree preferred
