[KITlist-Tech] CONTR: Community Manager (San Jose, CA)

Title: Community Manager
Location: San Jose, CA
Contract: 6+months (renewed quarterly)

-Samples of work may be required.
-Consultant can work on-site and off-site
-Position length is open ended, on-going

-The client is looking for a community manager to work with different business teams

-Roles and responsibilities:

-Interface with customers in discussion groups to address customer problems online.
-Conduct business analyses with a view to building a new community.
-Work with bloggers (rich media, blogs, white papers)
-Once problems have been identified, the community manager will now know what new content needs to be built/developed, or how the content needs to be modified.
-This resource will be responsible for keeping the community up and running.

-Preferable background: Web, Technology, Social Media, Online Community

-Design an internal web portal to support different business units.
-Comfortable creating/modifying simple HTML widgets
-Must have experience working in discussion forums
-Must have solid writing and oral communication skills
-This community manager will wear multiple hats: a support role, a content role, marketing communications role
