Position: Project Manager w/ Manufacturing Business Process Knowledge
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6-months w/ likelihood of extension
Description:
*Position is within Operations function.
*Project Management role requiring knowledge of Manufacturing business processes.
*Knowledge of manufacturing business processes: Ordering, shipping & receiving.
*Any IT experience would be a plus, but not necessary.
*Must also have Business Analysis experience and ability.
*Will work closely with business to review processes, where there is risk and where processes are broken.
*Work closely with business to resolve and fix processes.
Requirements:
*BA / BS (or equivalent). Advanced Technical or Business degree highly desirable.
*Demonstrated analytical skills.
*Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work in a dynamic cross-functional environment.
*8-10 years experience in manufacturing / operations environment with involving NPI activities including a broad exposure to most / all operations disciplines: Program Management, Materials, Planning, Mfg & Test, Supply Chain, Supply Base Management, Contract Manufacturing operations.
*5-7 years experience as a Program Manager, candidate must have proven ability to manage multiple or highly complex programs while assisting in process development.
*Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
*Ability to receive assignments in the form of long-range goals and objectives, define methods to meet objectives, and deliver results.
*Deliver results working with virtual teams.
*Facilitation V ability to work with several organizations with differing needs and develop an agreed upon recommendation.
*Partnership/Teamwork V ability to work well with a variety of people and to be flexible in taking on different roles/responsibilities as the business changes.
*Business writing V ability to write for different audiences (staff to senior executives) and for different purposes (informational to persuasive).
*Professional demeanor with a team player attitude.
