Software Quality Assurance Engineer
The SW QA Engineer is responsible for performing tests on computer applications to isolate and solve issues. Initiates tests, analyzes results, and finds solutions to technical problems.
The nature of the work requires excellent attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
��� Design, create, and execute test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications of computer software systems, such as LIMS.
��� Document test results and comparing to expected results.
��� Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
��� Maintain database of software defects.
��� Perform application security audits.
��� Ensuring data integrity standards.
��� Other duties as assigned based on Company needs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
��� B.S. or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or related area.
��� Over 5 years of experience in commercial software industry.
��� A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance engineering and testing.
��� Strong experience in manual testing.
��� Strong experience in testing custom, complex business applications.
��� Strong experience in creating test plans, test scripts and test cases.
��� Strong experience in UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
��� Experience testing in C/C++, Java, C#, and Web.
��� Experience testing in an Agile Software Development Life Cycle environment.
��� Experience in Linux/Unix/Windows/OSX.
��� Experience in LIMS, Electronic Lab Notebook, and other hardware related projects is preferable.
��� Excellent interdisciplinary communication skills required.
��� High written and oral fluency communication skills in English
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
��� Experience with business analysis, test case design, documentation, test execution.
��� Experience in backend, database testing, creating SQL queries.
��� Experience in regression testing, functional testing, integration testing.
��� Experience in customer support is a plus.
��� Self-driven and strong team player with proven track record.
��� Dedicated to making a difference.
��� Driven to make a positive impact in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
��� Ability to work well in a rapid-pace startup environment.
��� Ability to work well independently and as a team member.
