Position Title: VxWorks OS Developer

Location: Alameda or Santa Clara, CA



Job Description:

Wind River is looking for an engineer to join the great development team of the Wind River's flagship VxWorks operating system. This candidate will contribute to the evolution of VxWorks' core OS technologies, focusing on OS or kernel related features.



Main responsibilities of this position will be to contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of the core VxWorks technologies. The position will work with a variety of target platforms (Intel, PowerPC, MIPS, ARM, etc.), working closely with an excellent team of talented kernel and architecture experts.



Required Experience:



• 2-5 years development experience with VxWorks or other Embedded real-time OS experience.

• Detailed knowledge of embedded real-time OS/kernel internals.

• Strong knowledge of the C language and at least one microprocessor assembly language.

• Excellent OS debugging and problem solving skills.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects.



Education:



• BSCS/BSCE/BSEE or Equivalent.

• Master's degree is an asset.
