Job Description :

Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced and talented engineer for a fulltime position responsible for developing the Cloud components of the Wind River IoT Edge Management Solution. Based out of the Kanata R&D facility, the successful candidate will join a high performance team responsible for delivering a world class product that covers latest cloud technologies and device middleware. He or she must be a highly adaptable team player who can quickly ramp up on new technologies and accomplish goals in a fast-paced agile environment. A combination of strong technical and oral/written communication skills is a must.

Responsibilities:

•Develop the IoT Edge Management Solution Cloud components: APIs, WebApps.

•Work closely with Wind River IoT Solution Architect.

•Demonstrate high proficiency in web application design and implementation.

•Design Wind River IoT multi-language support including IoT SDKs.

•Mentor the members of the IoT Cloud development team.

•Partner with design on issues reported during product verification and customer integration cycles.

•Provide superior support to documentation and customer-facing teams.



Qualification / Skills

•BSc Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).

•5+ years of relevant experience in developing web and cloud technologies.

•Experience with API Design.

•Ability to deliver structured code according to the coding conventions and rules as specified in the architecture of the project.

•Ability to correctly and clearly documenting code.

•Experience with multiple programming languages: C/C++, Java, Python, javascript.

•SOA Technology: SOAP / XML / WSDL / REST.

•Experience with web programming, JSP/servlets, node.js, HTML, Ajax, JSon.

•Knowledgeable on database management systems – MySQL, SQLite, Cassandra

•Strong Unix/Linux skills, including system administration.

•Experience with complex distributed systems containing multiple components and different technologies

•Experience with iterative and Agile software development processes.

•Excellent written and oral communication skills.

•Proven ability to work across many technology areas, act proactively and own a problem

•Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments

•Fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies

•Experience with User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) principles is an asset

•Knowledge of Embedded operating systems is an asset.

•Experience with Mashery or Axeda products is an asset
