Summary
The QA Manager, System Transformation and Replacement (STAR) Project plays a key strategic role in supporting all aspects of the STAR Project´s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The QA Manager will apply knowledge of the business and processes to implement all aspects of the STAR system. The QA Manager directly participates in the analysis and decision making regarding complex issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 3-5 people and coordinate with vendor test manager and extended business users;
- Collect, analyze, track and report metrics as per the measurement plan throughout the life cycle of the project;
- Will be involved in both writing the QA section of the Management Plan and reviewing the Management Plan in order to assure that the processes, procedures, and standards identified in the plan are appropriate, clear, specific, and audit-able;
- During the software requirements phase, ensure that software requirements are complete, testable, and properly expressed as functional, non-functional, and interface requirements;
- During the architecture and design phase, ensure that all documents are created, reviewed and approved by the appropriate staff;
- During the coding phase, ensure that code reviews are scheduled and metrics are collected and tracked and reported;
- Ensure that traceability matrix is developed kept up to date;
- Assist in the oversight of the development of application test scenarios and scripts to ensure that the business units are prepared to test all aspects the WCIRB´s business processes that are contemplated in scope matrix;
- Assist in the identification of test data required to execute test scripts to ensure that the WCIRB´s business processes are fully and completely tested;
- Assist in developing a testing methodology that maps all test results to the relevant scenario/script and application modules;
- Review all application defects for review and assesses the extent to which the defects constitute an additional business requirement;
- Assists in the development and sign-off of all new business requirements emanating from change requests;
- Work with track leads to ensure that the data conversion/reconciliation plan is designed and implemented as required to validate that all critical data has been successfully migrated from the Mainframe.
