Currently, we are recruiting for an TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER to join our team.
General Overview:
Cost Plus World Market implemented a loyalty program in 2009 that is the foundation for the brand's CRM initiatives. This position plays a pivotal role in leading technical initiatives associated with creating and supporting Web and batch applications that comprise the World Market Explorer loyalty program. Position will be actively involved in planning technical system solutions that support CRM strategies established by the Marketing organization. Position will matrix manage technical resources that construct the loyalty systems and will perform liaison role between technical resources and the business owners of the program. Previous experience managing software development is required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise and direct design efforts in supporting infrastructure
components for Cost Plus World Market CRM systems across functional areas of the
business.
• Manage, provide active leadership and milestone attainment of system
development / enhancements with 3rd party partners as well as coordinate cross
functional internal resources. Architecture includes Open Source Web platform,
SQL database, .net batch systems.
• Work in partnership with Enterprise Architect to ensure CRM systems align with
overall business and IT strategy. Manage architecture documents for CRM systems.
• Ensure system and operational security and privacy controls are developed and
implemented
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal IT and business
partner teams, external business partners and vendors.
• Working with internal and external partners, develop rolling 12-24 month roadmap of
features/functions/enhancements as well as detailed project plans to reach stated
objectives on-time and on-budget.
• Actively participate in internal planning and provide proactive support / planning to
the business owners of the World Market Explorer program.
Job Requirements:
• Solid understanding of retail Marketing, customer centric programs.
• Experience building and maintaining retail customer-facing systems.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases.
• Experience managing Microsoft .net development and Open Source Web
development.
• A total of 7 years of IT experience with 3+ years of technical project management
experience
• Demonstrated record of positive delivery in fast paced environment
• BS or BA in Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience
• Proficiency with standard project management tools; including MS Project, Excel,
Word, and Visio
