Overview
SugarSync is looking for a motivated Reporting/Analytics/Data Model Lead Engineer who will be responsible for the reporting and analytics infrastructure of the SugarSync service. You will be a key contributor within the engineering team, assisting with creating a solid reporting infrastructure, data warehouse, ETL tools, Business Intelligence tooling. In this role you will work very closely with marketing, finance, product management, operations and engineering to satisfy various reporting and analytics requirements. In addition, you will work with other teams to help analyze and review the current production DB schemas in order to continuously improve the performance of the service as well as reduce the cost of operations.

Experience
• Required:
o 7+ years of Reporting and Analytics experience
o Deep understanding of data modeling and databases
o Strong SQL Skills and familiar with MYSQL DB
o Experience writing stored procedures
o Excellent scripting skills
o Past experience programming in Java
o Familiar with Google Analytics
o Excellent LINUX skills
o Past experience as a technical lead
• Desired:
o Prior Business Intelligence experience using Tableau or Business Objects
o Prior ETL tool experience using Pentaho or Informatica
o Prior reporting experience for a SAAS based service
o Past startup experience
Skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time
• Ability to work directly with Finance, Marketing, Operations and Engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness to learn and to teach
Education
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Compensation
