Job Description – Software Engineer
Apttus is looking for a Technical Architect / Software Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for architecting, developing and building the Apttus product offering on the Salesforce platform. They will also be providing data and technical direction on Apttus projects independently or in collaboration with Solution Architects and development teams on larger projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will be part of the product development organization and will be responsible for developing new product functionality in conjunction with Product Management and client requirements.
The candidate must be familiar standard SDLC and Agile implementation perspectives and maintain consistency with Client, Apttus, and industry standards and delivery capabilities.
Deliverable Responsibilities: • Standard SFDC Configurations • Design Documents • Integration Interface Document • Custom Configuration • Business Rules • Workflow and Approval processes
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3-5 years of progressive experience as a Configuration Engineer/Developer within an Engineering or Professional Services group in an application development company or within a solution team at a Systems Integrator
Complete software development lifecycle perspective
Business Skills and Experience
Have a professional presence and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with clients.
Accustomed to working in a team environment and who thrives in this environment.
Passionate about technology and driven to make a difference.
Analysis oriented (system and/or domain).
Technical Skills and Experience
SaaS experience including 3+ years of development on Salesforce platform
Able to setup standard configuration in Salesforce platform including Custom Object, Validation Rules, Workflows, Approval Process, Data Loader
Hands on and in depth knowledge of Force.com technologies like Apex Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex
Experience in developing in Apex is a requirement.
Experience in working with development teams on J2EE or similar technologies can be considered as an alternative if candidate can demonstrate proven ability to pick up new technologies quickly
Broad based platform and technical exposure using configuration tools available in products like Siebel, Peoplesoft, SAP etc
Background in Configure, Price Quote (CPQ) solutions also highly desirable.
