Job Responsibilities
The Strategic Applications team develops and maintains technical customer-facing collateral for Synaptics' Handheld product portfolio. This includes datasheets, application notes, white papers, and evaluation/demonstration systems. Internal technical training for Synaptics worldwide staff is also part of the group's remit.
This role requires:
• Working with product marketing managers to define collateral requirements
• Identifying relevant performance parameters and data, liaising with Engineering staff, and developing professional-looking and competitive customer-facing documentation with this information
• Creating and delivering in-depth technical training to Synaptics staff
• Developing demonstration hardware and/or software to assist with the pre-sales process.
Required Qualifications
• 6 – 10 years industry experience, including semiconductor product applications engineering
• Hands-on electronics hardware engineering development experience
• Ability to tailor and professionally present technical data for customer needs
• Experience of creating/maintaining semiconductor product datasheets and application notes/white papers
• Excellent English-language written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
• Experience of creating and delivering technical training
• Use of Adobe Framemaker
