Job Title Accounting and Compliance Analyst
Duties REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The consultant will report to the Senior Director, Technical Accounting and Compliance and will be a key member of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a technical accounting & SEC reporting position with responsibility for reviewing any new rules and regulations in the areas of SEC, GAAP, SOX etc.
- Responsible for detail review of technical accounting
(researching accounting issues, education), accounting compliance (Forms 10-Q/10-K, SOX 302, 906 and 404), and departmental presentations.
- In some cases, the creating of PowerPoint presentations will be
necessary.
- Collaborate with other functions and advise the Senior Director on accounting implications of corporate transactions (e.g. M&A, divestitures, joint ventures, internal restructuring)
- Assist in monitoring the department´s SOX procedures related to the external reporting function and M&A (valuations and purchase accounting)
- Assist in identifying efficiencies through automation and use of best practices per benchmark studies this consultant will be performing.
Skills
- 8 to 10+ years experience of combined experience in public accounting and at public companies.
- Solid experience in performing detail reviews of work papers and accounting conclusions.
- Leadership experience is a plus.
- Direct experience with planning audits, complying with SEC reporting requirements, SOX compliance, and researching technical accounting issues for a complex high tech organization
- Experience working with Legal departments, Finance groups, Board members and Audit Committees.
