[KITlist-Tech] EE Lab Technician (Cupertino, CA)

A leading technology company in the South Bay is seeking an experienced lead laboratory technician to support testing of consumer electronic devices for energy consumption, power supply efficiency, and power management.

The candidate will work in a fast pace environment, managing multiple concurrent tasks. Attention to detail and skills in time management, technical written and verbal communication, and problem solving are required. The candidate should be a motivated self-starter, able to learn new skills and operate test equipment with little support.

Skills:

The candidate will have a background in the following:

• Energy efficiency testing of computers, displays, set-top boxes, external power supplies, and battery charging systems using Energy Star and Department of Energy test methods

• Use of power meters, power sources, electronic loads, battery analyzers, and network traffic generators

• Third-party certification programs such as CSA, UL, TUV

• ISO 17025 lab quality management systems and procedures

• LabVIEW programming and/or other data acquisition/test automation techniques

• Laboratory Information Management systems (LIMS)

• Strong IT background a plus
