Our client is a smaller, niche security software company that is gaining more and more exposure and attention because of their solutions that address high priority security issues within large enterprise companies. This company is a leader in their space and has gained traction in numerous large enterprise clients with enormous potential for their offerings going forward. As a result of their expansion we are seeking a successful system engineer/sales engineer candidate to offer technical sales assistance to the sales organization. This is a great next step for someone to go from a partner to a vendor organization or for someone with limited related industry experience for this exciting opportunity:
Position title: Systems Engineer/Sales Engineer
Location: Orange County/Irvine California area
Position description:
In this role you will act as the technical resource for the sales region. You will work directly with an outside Account Executive helping to drive revenue in the geographic territory.
Position responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise and support to the enterprise sales team
• Develop technical proposals and responses to RFPs
• Prepare technical presentations, documentation and white papers
• Deliver and implement software
• Implement development and integration at customer sites
Skills required:
• Detailed knowledge of, and some experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, PC system and network security, biometrics, cryptography, smart cards and/or public key infrastructure (PKI) is required
• Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent) and 3-5 years technical experience.
• Knowledge of, and/or experience with, current trends in "trusted computing"
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Self-starter who has the ability to work independently to achieve results.
• Experience with contracts, management SOWs.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to travel (up to 50%).
Candidates of interest are those from partner organizations or vendors as noted with experience with products from companies such as Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, Pointsec/Checkpoint, WinMagic, Guardian Edge, Credant, SafeNet, Sophos, RSA, Mobile Armor, SafeBoot, etc., or any others in the areas of network security, biometrics, cryptography, smart cards and/or public key infrastructure (PKI)
