Position: Mobile & Automotive Vertical Solutions Sr. Marketing Manager - Long Term Contract position
Location: Alameda, CA

Wind River, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC), and a world leader in embedded and mobile software has a long term contract opportunity available for an experienced Vertical Solutions Sr. Marketing Manager.

This candidate will lead and manage the strategic marketing function for one of Wind River´s top vertical markets--Mobile and Automotive. In this position you will drive global outbound marketing activities that build company and vertical market share and revenue. You will be closely aligned with the vertical business team. You will work with a general manager and business development managers to execute short- and long-term vertical strategies and go-to-market plans.

Primary Responsibilities

•Manage and direct the global strategic marketing function for Wind River's Mobile and Automotive vertical markets.
•Develop, plan, and execute global marketing plans, integrated campaigns, and activities.
•Develop vertical solution messaging and market positioning for emerging and established markets.
•Incorporate value selling techniques to identify and leverage customer business challenges.
•Build the go-to-market strategy for new solutions and corporate initiatives.
•Develop relationships with outbound marketing channels, leveraging partners, online and print media, analysts, and other relevant sources.
•Conduct industry and market research to assess the current business environment.
•Monitor and leverage customer, partner, and competitor market activities.
•Manage the budget for a specific vertical.
•Contribute to the market requirement document (MRD) and annual operating plan.
•Create and manage vertical solution collateral, web content, and sales tools.
•Conduct training of the sales field organizations.
•Coordinate marketing messages across the worldwide organization.
•Present solution overview, benefits, and value proposition to prospects, customers, partners, press, and analysts.
•Work closely with all internal stakeholders to execute plans: Sales, Product and Solution Management, Corporate Marketing, Alliances, Global Field Marketing, and Operations.

Required Skill Set

•10+ years of product, solutions, and/or corporate marketing experience
•Mobile technologies marketing experience a plus– Android, MeeGo, etc.
•Experience marketing to customers in China, Korea, Taiwan, and Japan
•Experience developing strategic go-to-market plans, solution launch plans, and marketing programs and campaigns designed to create demand for software products
•Strong leadership capability, ability to influence at all levels
•Ability to grasp sufficient technical knowledge to make decisions regarding strategic marketing and to properly communicate the value proposition to any audience
•Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
•Strong analytical skills
•Domain experience in the vertical and/or embedded industry
•Business or technical degree; MBA a plus
•Ability to tell stories to audiences of all kinds and sizes
•Ability to collaborate at all levels
•Sense of humor
•Travel: 10-20%
