The Product Manager will work with the Director of Product Management to ensure the product life cycle is well executed at all stages for Meru's wireless network management and operations product. They will be well versed in networking technology and in network management. This position offers significant learning and growth opportunities in the areas of industry leading technology, product management principles in the high growth area of wireless.
Immediate areas of responsibility:
Product Planning and Roadmap
o Drive key market requirements
o Define customer use cases
o Work with engineering to plan and execute roadmap
Competitive
Main competitive inbound material owner
o Create and maintain a feature function on our products vs the competition.
o Work with TME on Product comparisons
o Work with product marketing on outbound messaging
Develop technical product info
Be the product expert working hands on and producing:
o Data Sheets
o Product guides
o Whitepapers
o Configuration guidelines
Field Support
o Be ready to assist with key customer accounts
o Respond to requests of sales reps on technical and product specific questions
Work experience requirements:
Previous Product Management (PM) or Technical Marketing (TME/PME) experience – Required 2+ years
Knowledge and previous experience in network management (must) and general networking, wireless and/or security (nice to have)
Personal Requirements
Self motivated, creative and able to work with direction but minimal supervision.
Good verbal & written communication skills
Well organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and to manage time effectively
Bachelor's degree required, Masters in Engineering or MBA desired
