Technical Analyst/ Developer - Java/C++

Our client a global leader in investment banking and securities firm that engages in global investment banking, securities, investment management is looking to hire for their IT Organization
Responsibilities:
* Analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of server-side and web-based Java applications in a multi-tier environment.
* Translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered business applications
* Interface with users and other developers to determine the most cost effective approach to meet business requirements.
* Design, evaluate and select tools necessary to build and support systems.
* Work on existing systems to improve architectural standards, functionality, performance, maintainability and reliability
* Assist the production support team to resolve production issues
Solid understanding of fundamentals of requirements specification, design, coding, and testing
* 5+ years experience in Java and related technologies
* Experience developing multi-tier web and service-based applications
* Experience developing in Linux environment
* Basic SQL programming skills
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Working knowledge in Perl and shell scripting
* Working knowledge in C#
Preferred Qualifications
* Good team player with strong initiative and self-management skills
* Ability to learn and quickly apply new languages and technologies
* Works well in a fast-paced environment
