Title: Senior Interaction Designer
Location: San Jose, CA
Contract: 6+months (renewed quarterly)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The client is looking for a Senior Interaction Designer to work on a large corporate software initiative.
In this position you will work with product teams, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and UX peers to rationalize client´s software licensing process and related user interface designs.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Define the user interaction models and work-flows
* Help drive product direction based on field research and functional requirements
* Generate UI mockups including wire-frames, possible prototypes and user interface specifications
* Work with usability engineers to design and conduct usability test studies
* Work closely with IT and software engineers to deliver the final products
* Help develop and apply interaction and design standards

QUALIFICATIONS (required):
* 7+ years of experience designing Web-based software user interfaces
* Master´s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Design or related field or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate complex concepts and structure UIs that simplify these concepts
* Excellent time-management and multi-tasking ability
* Strong visual and verbal communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team
* Skills with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Fireworks, Photoshop) or equivalent
* Strong conceptual understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
* Experience with a number of released software products from large corporate technology companies

QUALIFICATIONS (highly desired):
* Ability to prototype with HTML, CSS, and Javascript and/or other prototyping tools
* Visual design skills
* Experience with software licensing
