Job Description:
Our client is an Audio/Loudspeaker company located in the San Francisco Bay area and S. China. They are seeking a Sales Manager for North America. This is an awesome opportunity for someone already in the Loudspeaker industry seeking a new adventure, or for an Engineer or Product manager who wants to make the leap into Sales. Job location will be SF/Marin area. This is NOT a senior position, but rather a more entry-level opportunity for someone to be mentored into a full scale sales role.

Specific Duties include:

Encourage brand name audio system customers to develop their branded systems with the Company, with the goal of having the system produced by us.
Prospecting opportunities with non-traditional audio OEMs who are looking to move into the audio market.
Assess customer roadmaps and determine which development programs would be good fits for the company.
Monitor and coordinate the activity between our Engineers and those of the brand name company during the development phase.
Manage all aspects of the Customer/Company relationship and focus on developing strong customer relations.
Stay current on commercially viable technology developments related to the audio segment.
Domestic and international travel will be required from 50% to 75% of the time.


Required Skills:
BS degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Acoustical Engineering.
Experience with acoustic system design is preferred.
Ability to perform high-level program management techniques to ensure both the Company & the customer teams are executing to a plan.
Ability to assess the commercial viability of a particular product.
Must be able to understand the competitive landscape within the audio market including but not limited to the Home Theater, Portable/personal, Audiophile, & Professional audio segments.
Good conversationalist with good people skills.
Self-starter, motivated without much supervision, toward helping the Company grow.
Experience selling into a brand is desired.
