We at Park Computer Systems, Inc., a Technology Consulting and Staffing company are constantly on the lookout for professionals to fulfill the staffing needs of our clients, and we currently have a job opening with our Key Direct Client which is a Fortune 150 firm to find a "IT Analyst" that may interest you or someone you know.

Rate:- DOE on W2 (including Medical and basic Insurance)
Duration:- 6 months

Job Description:-

Duties

*This is a Software/IT Analyst role with full analyst capability and not a BusinessAnalyst.*

• Collaborate with product marketing, project management, engineering, V&V and other project stakeholders to scope projects and elicit detailed requirements for Applied Biosystems' software products
• Facilitate requirements workshops and reviews with project stakeholders throughout the software life cycle
• Perform requirements analysis to understand and present a clear picture of the problem space and its workflows, and drive out areas of uncertainty across the domain
• Apply formal, best practice methodologies and notations in preparing requirements deliverables, including but not limited to: user stories, use cases models, feature requirements, activity diagrams, domain models, supplemental requirements, concept diagrams, business rules, data requirements.
• Contribute to evolving Requirements Management process definition and improvement across the organization
• Support traceability between software requirements and V&V artifacts in a regulated (auditable) software development environment (i.e. QSR and CE-IVDD)
• Participate in Voice of the Customer activities towards gathering and elucidating customer needs
• Collaborate with Usability Specialists and UI Designers towards providing flexible and highly usable user interfaces for complex life-science domain software that meets the needs of our customers


Skills

A structured approach to requirements elicitation and management, together with the flexibility to meet the needs of differing projects, is essential.

A minimum of 2 years' experience with software development best practices, such as the Rational Unified Process or Agile, is required.

Previous experience with UML or similar object-oriented notation, together with hands-on experience using formal requirements management and modeling tools, such as Rational Rose, RequisitePro, DOORS, Visio, is also desirable.

Previous experience with workshop facilitation is strongly desired.


The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills, is comfortable working as part of a large cross-functional team, and is prepared to work to aggressive timelines along iterative software development schedules.

Project management skills and the ability to assume a leadership role would be an asset.

Familiarity with Java development environments and associated technologies, relational databases and biotechnology would all be considered pluses.


Education

A BS in Computer Science (or equivalent), together with 5+ years industry experience in a systems analyst role (or similar) with the above experience would be ideal.
