Job Summary:
For the Interactive Media Platform group, the User Interface/Experience (UI/UX) Designer will develop next generation user interfaces across all media platforms.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Should be able to create new and innovative user interface and user interactions for the mobile phone and tablet platforms.
• Should be able to quickly create and implement prototypes on Android and /or IOS platforms.
• After initial consultation with various users, develops, designs and implements user interfaces
• Proposes and develops styles, color palettes and typography
• Maps out and recommends details of interactive designs
• Creates and develops a variety of different graphical, user oriented layouts incorporating statistics, numbers, text and visuals
Internal and External Contacts
• Collaborates closely with an art director, information architects, copywriters and programmers
Essential Education and Experience (minimum job requirements)
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years directly related experience (in a creative capacity working in a designer's studio and/or corporate creative environment)
• Knowledge and understanding of Application development with a good grasp of Java and Objective C with a thorough understanding of the platform capabilities and API's.
• Knowledgeable in user interfaces for small screens, user interface mobile and tablet design
• Strong foundation in graphic and visual design
• Knowledge and understanding of rapid prototyping and in creating wireframes
• Familiarity, knowledge and understanding of a variety of different graphical formats
• Customer service oriented
• Detail oriented
• Demonstrated business communications skills (verbal, written and presentations)
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledgeable of various creative tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint),
• Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and applied skills with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e.Flash, Adobe, Front Page, Dreamweaver)
Preferred Skills and Experience
5 years of applicable, related work experience (in a creative capacity)
Knowledge and understanding of software development and JAVA .
