[KITlist-Tech] CONTR: Senior Java Tech Lead (LifeRay, Data Migration) (Silicon Valley, Ca)

Senior Java Tech Lead needed for long term (12+ month project) project at stable, public client company.

Position Overview:

The project is to ID, design and build an end-user facing solution for the migration of content from legacy collaboration solutions & content solutions (i.e. Client´s current Intranet, Jive discussion forums, Roller Blogs) to Client´s new platform, New platform is an integrated collaboration and content solution. The tech lead will be responsible for the design and implementation of an assisted migration tool that enables end users to ID, opt-in to migrate, and track content from the legacy collaboration solutions as it moves into the current generation collaboration solution.

Skills Required:

- 10+ years Java/J2EE development Background.

- Must have 2 - 3 years lead or architecture experience.

- Experience working cross functionally with all levels of an enterprise, including developer, architects and managers.

- Must have the ability to analyze requirements and architect complex applications that can work on multiple platforms.

- Spring/ Hibernate experience.

- Strong Linux Experience.

- Some knowledge of Portals, like Websphere or Liferay.

- Unix based scripting experience preferably Perl.

- Strong communication skills, we need a candidate that is as comfortable analyzing as architecting.

Must Have Skills:

- 10+ years Java/J2EE development Background.

- Must have 2 - 3 years lead or architecture experience.

Nice to Have Skills:

- Some knowledge of Portals, like Websphere or ideally Liferay.

- Experience on a major content migration project or tracking system (BIG PLUS)
