JOB DESCRIPTION
The Architecture team is looking for a Principal to lead one of core development teams. The individual will help set direction for the firm´s Application Lifecycle Management, Development Tools, Core Software Architectures and Development Practices. Specifically, the candidate will concentrate on the web applications tier, responsible for developing the frameworks used by WebApp developers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• The candidate will act as a consultant to his/her development teams on all development projects and will advise the development teams on the proper use of core technologies.
• The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment to drive the team to deliver innovative products.
• As part of our strategic direction, open-source technologies are used extensively to provide leading-edge solutions.
• The role will require performing some level of troubleshooting and issue resolution, and work closely with internal and external team members to meet those demands.
• The candidate will also mentor and manage team members and provide technical leadership through the entire development life cycle of the product.
KEY TECHNOLOGIES
• Java, JavaScript, JQuery, Spring MVC
REQUIREMENTS
• The role will require extensive experience in design and development on the Unix/Linux platform and excellent programming skills in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS and Java.
• Additionally, the candidate requires strong Spring MVC experience.
• Leadership experience in Software Development
• Experience with developing web based applications for mobile platform such as iPhone and Android
• Experience with developing widget based portal system using latest web technologies
• Strong background in Application Software Management and Development Lifecycle Management
• The candidate should be responsible and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills. Candidates should be detailed oriented and have a high degree of quality. Candidates should be able to respect the options, contributions and values of other team members.
• BS or MS in computer science or related field
