Lead-Staff QA Engineer - Matlab, DSP, C
Location -Redwood City, CA
MUST HAVE:
Experience with QA methodologies, Matlab and C, is a MUST HAVE.
Responsibilities:
Develop test plans & automation to ensure that the product meets all performance, compatibility & interoperability requirements.
Create an environment for efficiently executing functional/module level verification, also extensive system level regression testing.
Develop scripts to automate tests, for collecting, formatting & analyzing results & for providing feedback to engineering teams.
Expand regression test coverage to include the new features.
Qualifications:
Education:
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required (MSEE preferred)
8+ years in product QA, test & validation role including a minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role. Prior experience Lead/Managing a team of QA engineers is desirable.
Deep understanding of QA methodologies & the ability to quickly apply to complex communication systems IS A MUST.
Experience with systems containing hardware, software & DSP elements A PLUS
Expertise in use of QA tools, defect reporting & tracking, & the use of scripting languages Python, PERL is a big PLUS.
Experience with Matlab and C, is a MUST HAVE.
Familiarity with DSL compliance testing is a plus.
Familiarity with oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and other test equipment is a plus.
Extensive experience in lab setup, equipment & analyzing test results to find system level issues is a plus.
Prior experience with wireless, DSL or other communication systems experience in a similar role is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent written & verbal communications skills
Ability to see the big picture & translate it into an action plan
Able to analyze data collected from the lab and/or from the field to isolate the problems & differentiate between system setup, configuration, software, hardware, & scripting issues.
Create & drive test schedules to meet overall program schedules
Will have small company or small team experience with a get-it-done attitude
Will be a self-motivated enthusiastic expert in a communication field with a strong willingness to learn through work.
