Responsibilities:
*Act as lead developer, helping with all phases of a project from the initial definition phase, to design, to development, to testing and ultimately deployment
*Lead the technical scoping, feasibility, and architecture, of key client web and mobile projects
*Directly participate on front-end and server-side development efforts
*Working in conjunction with internal project staff, clients, and technical vendors, assist in scoping, identifying of project deliverables, and creation of project-specific documentation such as technical specifications
*Ensure that appropriate engineering resources are assigned, in place, tracked, and effectively utilized at all phases of a project
*Work closely with quality assurance resources to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly assigned and fixed
*Regularly communicate project status with team members and project management
*Provide mentoring to internal staff and participate in business development efforts including proposals, development plans, and presentations, as directed
*Support the development, deployment and support of internal (Cypress) technology infrastructure
Qualifications:
*5+ years experience with web, database, mobile development
*5+ years leading development projects and teams. Agency experience preferred but not required
*Experience with standard front-end development (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
*Extensive experience with a variety of server-side technologies, databases, and framework
*Experience implementing and maintaining Content Management Systems â€" either PHP-based or ASP-based (Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, Umbraco, DotNetNuke, Sitefinity, etc.)
*Expert knowledge of web standards and best practices for desktop and mobile
*Knowledge of latest industry trends in desktop, mobile, and video platform development
*Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must work well with clients, internal project teams and 3rd parties including offshore teams
*Must be able to exhibit technical thought leadership, amongst both peers and clients
*Team player mentality with ability to evaluate new talent as well as mentor and motivate individuals both in person and remotely
*Superb problem solving ability, with a knack for technical innovation
