Title: Graphic Designer supporting UE team.
Contract: 6+month (renewed quarterly)
Location: San Jose, CA
-Must have a killer portfolio that highlights 3-5 major projects
Client is seeking a talented Graphic Designer who can help support the User Experience team. The candidate will be playing an important role in innovating the visual language of our website along with other designers. If youre a creative individual who loves crafting elegant and easy to use interfaces in various web screens, we want to meet you!
The ideal candidate should be experienced with working on brand identity systems, have a solid design portfolio showing 3-5 major works, can demonstrate knowledge on user-centered design, and have familiarity with HTML, CSS, and other core web technologies.
The Role:
Create page layouts and help evolve our component system.
Conceptualize and Develop illustrations to include: Icons, network diagrams, infographics
Translate complex information into simple and effective web presentation
Collaborate with team members on various disciplines such as IA, and Front-End Developers
The Ideal Candidate Possesses:
BA in design or other related field is desired
3+ years of industry experience, applying user-centered design principles
Must have a killer portfolio that highlights 3-5 major projects
Outstanding attention to detail and design
The ability to work across multiple teams to manage design project scope and expectations
The ability to work independently with minimal guidance, and manage and collaborate well with teams
The ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment and to balance competing priorities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving
The drive to learn new design tools/techniques as technology changes
A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Experience with mobile app design is a plus
Technical Skills:
Proficient to advanced drawing skills
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, to include such as: Illustrator, Photoshop
Knowledge CSS/3 and responsive design
