[KITlist-Tech] Jr. Systems Administrator (Mountain View, CA)

Title: Jr. Systems Admin
Location: 94043 (Mt. View)
Duration: 12+ months
Work days: Tues Sat. (4pm midnight)

Responsibilities:
- Works as part of a distributed team, coordinating by phone, email, IM, web conference with team members in other geographical areas
- Escorting/managing infrastructure vendors to repair power, cooling etc systems in a Data Center
- Perform Assess management, troubleshooting
- Working with vendors in a Data Center for system repair (e.g. Sun, IBM, EMC)

Required:
- Degree and 1+ years working experience with computer systems, with 6+ mos working in a Data Center environment to include some or all of the following, installation of racks, installation of devices in racks, running Ethernet patch cables, running fiber patch cords, connecting console monitor to systems for remote-hands recovery
- A+ Certification or vendor Certification is preferred
- Must be attention to detail, team player, installing equipment
- Experience with Linux, Data Center, Knowledge and experience installing Data equipment
- Basic understanding of UNIX/Linux command line helpful
- Background in UNIX system administration or Cisco network administration helpful
- Familiarity with Data Center physical infrastructure systems like power (UPS, generator), cooling, fire suppression
