Job Description:
• Business System Analyst will be responsible to provide support for the Merchandising & Planning business areas.
• This person will work as the liaison between business partners and the IT group in order to support existing systems (Primary role) and to provide analysis for systems implementation, upgrade and enhancement projects.
• Must be able to respond quickly to support issues, evaluate alternatives and create and execute against an action plan.
• Must document business and technical specifications for system development based on user requirements and must be able to provide support through the merchandise life cycle.
• Must be able to effectively manage small project tasks, timelines and resources in order to meet objectives.
• Must be able to plan and manage their work load, commitments and schedules.
• Must partner and collaborate with team members in all aspects of the problem management lifecycle like Analysis , planning, design & User acceptance Testing.
• Must be willing to learn quickly, make an immediate impact and work in a fast-paced environment including after hour support based on business needs.
Job Requirements:
• Must have 5-7 years of overall related experience in systems support and business analysis including specific experience supporting Merchandising Systems modules of Pricing/Promotion/Clearance.
• Retek /Oracle Merchandising experience & Retek/Oracle retail applications integration with other systems will be a huge plus
• Experience with any PLM (Product life cycle Management) system will be a huge plus.
• Must possess basic knowledge of the Oracle database as well as SQL Server and Excel including writing basic queries for data analysis to support business needs.
• S/he must have a strong understanding of modular code concepts and software life cycle development within the retail domain.
• Must possess strong time management and problem solving skills. S/he must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, work with frequent interruptions, and cope with sudden high stress situations.
• Must have an ability & desire to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as well as excellent interpersonal skills in working with all levels of users
