Media Software Engineer
We're changing the way communications look, act and feel and we'd love your expertise and enthusiasm on the team. We´ve built the world's first cloud-based interoperable video collaboration service. Our mission is to make interactive video communications as easy and pervasive as a phone call, enabling more effective collaboration at work, at home and on the road.
You will be joining our Media Engineering team, responsible for designing, building and scaling the heart of our cloud video service: a parallel media transcoding processing system. The ideal candidate is passionate about innovating high quality, real-time video collaboration software. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of media components in our cloud infrastructure. We are building the next revolution in collaboration and we want your ideas to be part of it.
What you will be doing:
•Develop code and associated data structures using OO modeling; program mostly in C++ for Linux/x86 platform
•Implement applications and algorithms that manipulate large amounts of data in a real-time delivery system
•Drive implementation of components with complete ownership including concept design, coding, unit testing and production delivery
•Work with peers located in USA and in India
Required expertise includes:
•3+ years of developing commercially available software using C/C++ and Python
•Experience with real-time, concurrent Linux environments with system programing skills
•Experience in Agile development
•Some experience and interest in computer graphics
•Some exposure to video rendering frameworks
What about bonus skills?
•Experience in 3D programming (gaming framework or industrial CAD software)
•Experience with video composition on embedded devices
•Experience with video technology (DSP, Codecs, etc).
