We're changing the way communications look, act and feel and we'd love your expertise and enthusiasm on the team. We´ve built the world's first cloud-based interoperable video collaboration service. Our mission is to make video communications as easy and pervasive as a phone call, enabling more effective collaboration at work, at home and on the road.
You will be joining our Cloud Platform team, responsible for designing, building and scaling the back-end engine of our cloud application. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating an API platform that allows video collaboration across a wide range of applications. We are building the next revolution in collaboration and we want your ideas to be part of it.
What you will be doing:
• Developing RESTful API's to be consumed by the ISV partners and the developer community
• Contributing to the cloud backend business logic that powers Bluejeans
• Taking the backend to the next level of scale, redundancy and reliability.
Required expertise includes:
• Server-side programming languages like Java, Python etc.
• Database technologies including mysql, mongo, couchbase
• Understanding of RESTful design patterns
Which of these topics get you talking?
• Scalable messaging infrastructure in the cloud
• API authentication and authorization
• Caching technologies – memcache versus ehcache
• SOAP versus REST
• Spring and Guice
• Java garbage collection
• Logging infrastructure
What about bonus skills?
• Prior experience in the communication/ collaboration space.
• XMPP, SIP, WebSockets
• Knowledge of business apps like SalesForce, Zuora, Marketo, Netsuite etc.
