The Applications Manager oversees the daily needs of E-Business Suite and related Oracle ERP modules and infrastructure components. This role supervises Oracle IT resources and or outside consultants. The Applications Manager sets the vision and direction of software development and deployment of new solutions and enhancements for the Oracle E-Business software suite. The Applications Manager works closely with leaders throughout the company to ensure that the ERP solution is leveraged to its fullest extent. This role also participates in overall system architecture for the entire enterprise including the east and west distribution centers.

Organizational Structure:
• This position interacts with most members of IT and with key super users, managers or business analysts in other key departments.
• The Applications Manager is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient ERP systems and day-to-day operations. This includes reliable business process transactions and functioning of the software included updates and data conversions and high performance.
• Participates and supports the business functions in developing technology enablers to support and deliver best in class solutions by leveraging specific features of the software and using those features versus customized solutions with the ERP staff.
• Advises, suggests and assists in defining information technology needs and planning for the development and implementation of information systems.
• Assists in researching new technologies by attending conferences and exploring online help content.
• Develops strategic and tactical management plans for the implementation of integrated information systems projects.
• Assist individuals in their development resulting in a group made up of *Highly Valued* and *Top Talent* rated individuals. Provide clarity and accountability on expectations for performance through candid, timely, and empathetic feedback.
• Write and communicate formal midyear and annual performance evaluations to all assigned employees in conjunction with company standards and provide performance feedback in a timely manner and follow corrective measures with underperforming employees.
• Manages internal and external relationships to maximize value to the business.
• Ability to lead interactions with business operations/end-users/BAs to coordinate identification of business requirements and translate them into system requirements
• Oversee workflow analyses, designing, development/coding, unit-testing, debugging and release management activities.
• Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own team, sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion
• Estimates, forecasts and plans resource and budget requirements
• Develops plans to meet short and long term objectives in context of the overall departmental objectives
• Identifies and resolves operational problems using processes, expertise and judgment
• Serves as an expert, leader and mentor within the technical functional area
• Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
• Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
• Serves as a key resource on selection or decision making processes
• Influences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years experience leading an Oracle development team
• 7+ year´s work experience and solid ability to manage a team of 5-10 direct reports and/or contractors (both onshore and offshore).
• In-depth knowledge and prior work experience in Oracle Supply Chain and Distribution modules
• Must have at least 2-3 full life cycle implementations as a Functional Lead
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
