Job Summary
BCD Travel, one of the largest and fastest growing companies in the travel industry, is looking for a motivated, hands-on Database Developer to help development and support our global technological deployments. With over US $14 Billion in sales and 1300 locations worldwide, BCD Travel offers exciting, global career opportunities. Working with a top notch team, you will participate in the development, maintenance, and support of business intelligence reports, dashboards and scorecards. This individual must maintain effective customer (Internal) relationships.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years Business Intelligence report development (SSRS 2005, 2008)
- 7+ years Query writing, optimization, indexing (SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008)
- 3+ years Dashboard and Scorecard development
Competency with:
- T-SQL, MDX
- OLTP and OLAP report development,
- SSRS, SQL Server (all versions)
- Scorecards and dashboards
- SQL Server query optimizations
Preferred:
- Experience designing and developing SSIS packages is a strong plus

Job Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- 0% Management, 0% Project Management, 25% Requirements, 75% Analysis & Code
- Meeting w/ internal customers to document business and process requirements.
- Design, Code, Test, and Implement new BI reporting initiatives, and provide operation support for existing production reports.
- Responsible for adherence to standards, policies, and development guidelines.
- Off-hours availability for support, problem determination, and problem resolution of production reports is required.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision
- Assumes and performs other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, as requested.
Transferable Skills (Functional Competencies)
- Excellent communication skills (English verbal & written)
- Organization and planning skills
- Conflict management & resolution skills
- Multi-tasking capable (individual will be assigned multiple projects simultaneously), and highly flexible.
- Travel Industry Experience a large plus.
