Title: UI/UE Specialist
Location: San Jose, CA
Contract: 6+months (renewed quaterly)

-The client would like a UI/UE with strong graphics abilities who can also do some web development on the back end if needed.

-As a user interface expert, you will be part of a team that builds, maintains, and supports the internal and external --web sites and customer applications for this client.

Work Breakdown
20 percent customer and site analysis
50 percent coding
10 percent testing
20 percent general site support and communication/liaison tasks


1. User Interface Design
-As a user interface expert, youll develop client UI and server-side scripts for online tools that support the client´s professional certifications and certification exam preparation. These tools include the Learning Locator, Universal Lab Scheduler, etc. Youll need to understand customer needs, the current client web environment, the redesigned Training section, and the divisions business goals. Youll work with both the project team and web team that support the client´s "training" section (certifications) to design new interfaces for the upgraded Learning Locator, etc.

2. Web Development
-You will help architect and design/redesign websites, as well as provide support for additional projects that our team supports, such as email template creation, graphics resizing, website redesigns, and application development. You must have an in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate effectively project status, issues, and resolutions. ---Strong graphics skills a plus.

Required Skills
-Must Have: Javascript, CSS, HTML, Javascript, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash,
-Captivate experience a plus

-Knowledge and experience with JavaScript-driven UIs
-Knowledge and experience with calling back-end Web Services
-Experience with SDLC and Client-side scripting
-Understand general database concepts
-Write functional and design specifications for Web applications
-Create and implement Web sites and monitor Web applications for clients and servers
-Design and deliver Web services
Code, test, and support database-driven Web applications
-Application and page life-cycle management
-Security aspects, such as forms authentication and membership/roles
-Configuration and deployment of Web applications
-Troubleshooting and debugging of Web applications
-Be proficient in Photoshop and Dreamweaver
-Have previous Content Management tool exposure
-Experience working within a dynamic team

Years of Experience
- 3 to 5 years of UI/UE experience -we need candidates who know how to direct, design and build a comprehensive user interaction strategy that would support a positive user experience.
-Develope user interfaces / large scale and public facing web applications.
- -Experience working with Fortune 500 corporate web tools and associated user interfaces (that support a global audience) considered a plus
