Position Description

Design, implement, test, and maintain Autonomous Solution´s Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) package to meet client needs and advance robotics technologies. Mobius software engineers participate in the full life cycle of software and/or hardware development and help determine project architecture and requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Work with a team of software engineers to add functionality, improve, and upgrade the VCU product applications
Write understandable C, C++, C# code
Write detailed technical specifications for new features
Maintain and extend developer documentation
Work with customers (on-site and off-site) to ensure end product meets expectations
Write unit-level tests and assist in specifying and creating integration tests

Desired Skills & Experience

Required Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Master´s degree preferred
5+ years professional experience designing and implementing embedded, real-time software systems using C for embedded processors
Experience developing device drivers for embedded systems
Knowledge and experience in communication protocols implementation (TCP, UDP, serial, CAN)
Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems
Experience designing and documenting software applications using UML
Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle--gathering requirements, design, implementation, testing, debugging, and deployment to the end user
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Position will require travel
