The FlashSoft team at SanDisk Enterprise Storage Solutions is seeking a Product Manager III for its Milpitas, CA Corporate office. In this position, the individual will be responsible for the definition and delivery of a "whole product" for the organization, actively driving both the planning and execution of the technology roadmap. Product managers are seen as the critical organizing element within the organization. They communicate the technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. They know the current products' features and competitive strengths, and they define the near-term and long-term goals for future releases. They manage positioning, messaging, and materials, but their job is more than routine processes. The ideal candidate brings creativity, ownership, and a relentless focus on business impact to the position.

The individual supports both product development and sales efforts, through direct hands-on contribution, process management and communications activities. The individual must balance execution on near-term requirements and long-term strategic planning for a rapidly changing market. This includes identifying market opportunities and trends through both direct customer interaction and market research, to guide product requirements. The individual understands the competitive environment for the technology and develops competitive positioning, leading to messaging and communications strategies, as well as materials for partners, customers and internal advocates. The product manager maintains product roadmaps, deliver key product-related technical collateral and prepare product presentations.

This position requires a BS/BA degree or equivalent with 7 or more years of related experience. The ideal individual works with passion, a sense of mission and a single-minded focus on business impact. The working environment is a fast-paced, high-performing, entrepreneurial culture, and the ideal candidate must be willing to accept the unpredictable nature of daily work in such an environment. To succeed, the individual must possess solid understanding of enterprise software product management and marketing fundamentals, the dynamics of the enterprise storage industry, usage models, and product features. Ideally, the individual has a proven desire to work as a team member, and the ability to work effectively cross-functionally. The ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems with creativity and "out of the box" thinking is especially useful in this role. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are essential.

SanDisk offers a highly competitive compensation package and great benefits, which include Stock Options, ESPP, matched 401 (K), comprehensive insurance and tuition reimbursement. SanDisk is an equal opportunity employer.
