Job Summary:
This position will represent the Enterprise ICT Organization in a Lead/Senior Engineering role. This individual will function in a capacity to implement and maintain server systems located within the BCD network. This position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures relative to server systems and the ability to Lead a team of Engineers/support personnel, manage complex projects and retain overall responsibility for the health and well-being of the companies Linux server environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Essential Job Functions:
- Implements new and maintains existing RedHat Linux infrastructure.
- Implements and maintains RedHat Directory Services and Satellite systems
- Monitors performance for all responsible server systems.
- Monitors and maintains system security to ensure system integrity.
- Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly
- Must be able to take direction and work well with others
- Must be able to work under the stress of and meet deadlines
- Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately while meeting applicable productivity measures
- Must be able to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision
- Assumes and performs other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, as requested.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Min 5-8 years experience with all current RedHat Server Operating Systems
- Min 5 years experience solely with Linux Administration/Engineering
- Min 5 years experience with Server Class Hardware
