[KITlist-Tech] Manager I.T. Operations - small tech startup (San Francisco, CA)

A small, very exciting, profitable, well-funded consumer Internet startup, is looking for a hands-on, Manager of I.T. Operations to manage the day-to-day technical operations of the company. The Manager of I.T. Operations will report to the VP of Technology and manage a small team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the company´s 24x7 high-availability web operations
• Manage relationship with hosting provider
• Manage security
• Meet and report on Service Level Agreements with partners
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning
• Budget & capacity planning

REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years in operations of which at least 2 years managing web operations for a small tech startup
• Strong leadership skills
• In depth knowledge of web operations, including Linux, databases, networks, data centers, monitoring tools, etc.
• Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure
• Team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to collaborate
• Prior experience at a small startup required
• Good sense of humor :-)
