Technical Account Manager – TEST MANAGEMENT
This position is based in Silicon Valley (SF Bay Area)
SUMMARY
Technical Account Manager for Test Management Solutions Product Line
Wind River Test Management solutions play a critical role across the embedded device development life cycle. This range of products provide complete framework enabling companies to augment their existing test infrastructure, verify device functionality under all edge conditions and provide detailed visibility into the quality & effectiveness of test infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Technical Account Manager for Test Management products, you will work with Sales teams to help them with pre-sales and post-sales activities involving crafting and deploying the Wind River solution. You will bring to the sales cycle cross-domain, cross-functional expertise in understanding the customer' test environment, quality needs and deployment challenges. You will be the domain expert in test management and participate in tradeshows, seminars, industry consortiums and other marketing activities. This role is for Western half of North America, you will be travelling 25% of the time in western USA.
Detailed Responsibilities
q Work with sales team to help understand customer needs and propose solutions
q Manage Proof of Concept engagements with prospective customers
q Manage and deploy test management solutions as a part of mentoring and deployment services
q Develop territory and regional (multi-site) account plans and execute successfully
q Help post sales support team with mentoring, training and managing escalations
q Develop and present demonstration platforms to highlight strengths of Wind River solution
q Participate in industry Consortiums, Tradeshows and Wind River Seminars
q Train technical sales teams on the test management industry and technology
q Channel customer feedback to engineering and marketing to improve future products
Requirements
q BSCS/BSEE Degree, plus three to five years experience in Software Testing.
q Experience in Device Testing
q Experience in scripting languages like Python, Perl or TCL.
q Basic Linux knowledge like installing packages, updating Linux server.
q Experience in Testing and Quality assurance.
q Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
q Able to prioritize tasks
q Not afraid of a challenge
q Quick on the feet (can answer hard questions fast)
q Comfortable in the role as a "change agent" (i.e. ability to engage with a customer and significantly impact their current software testing approach/process such that it incorporates the value of Wind River's Test Management solution in their everyday approach to test their applications)
