Release Engineer | Elance Headquarters - Mountain View, CA

We are looking for a great Release Engineer with experience working in SaaS environments and a proven background in a variety of technologies and products. As a Release Engineer you'll be the person responsible for ensuring our aggressive release schedule runs smoothly and the release process is simply, reliable and flexible. Here's what you need to know:
Your Responsibilities
• Be the Release Lead during our bi-weekly releases and regular patches
• Design and build an improved release mechanism
• Recommend and configure tools for building and deploying new software platforms
• Build and maintain change management tools
• This position will require some after hours and weekend support
Your Qualifications
• 5+ Years Release Engineering experience
• 7+ years industry experience
• Proficient in common scripting languages (perl, bash, etc)
• Deep knowledge of LAMP stack
• PHP software deployments in customer facing websites
• Perforce
• Ant and phing
• Databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Virtualization experience a plus
• Strong written and verbal skills
• BS in Computer Science or related field required, MS preferred
