[KITlist-Tech] BIOS QA Engineer (Silicon Valley, CA)

You will be part of a next generation data center products. Work also involves providing constant feedback to hardware and software teams for improvements. Write test plans, execute test cases independently. Contribute to automation scripting.


Required Skills/Experience:
•5+ years of strong x86 server background.
•Study industry specifications, vendor´s hardware documentation, then verify the firmware behavior and conformance.
•Must have experience with OS, hardware, and driver issues.
•Experience in validation labs.

Highly desirable Skills/Experience:
•Proficient in x86 system.
•Strong knowledge of Tiano based BIOS.
•Strong knowledge of x86 hardware, system architecture and operating systems.
•Strong knowledge of memory sub-system and ECC error handling
•Strong knowledge of PCIE, SMBIOS, ACPI, IPMI and UEFI
•Good understanding of software quality assurance processes and methodologies.
•Understanding of Linux OS behaviors an advantage.
•Understanding of Windows OS behaviors.
•Understanding of Networking an advantage

Personal Characteristics:
•Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage competing high priority tasks.
•Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others, and have fun!
•Independent, Accountable, Strong sense of ownership, Assertive, Communicative, Accountable, Sense of urgency, and Flexible and adaptable.
•5 plus years of total experience
•BSCS or MSCS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or other relevant field
