Angel-funded Big Data startup is looking for a talented senior or mid-level engineer to join our company. The founding team consists of two highly experienced Big Data leaders who are passionate about bringing large-scale cloud analytics capabilities to business users worldwide. This is a chance to be a very early employee of an innovative startup in a hot industry, and put your exceptional development skills to work building a next generation business service.

In exchange for your hard work and passionate commitment to our product, you will receive a cash salary, early stock options, PTO, and full benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Develop new highly scalable machine learning algorithms and map-reduce jobs capable of dealing with hundreds of terabytes of data.
- Develop & integrate with platform that enables creating data pipelines, descriptive & predictive models, and rich visual reports.

Desired skills & Experience:
- Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Extensive experience working (development & deployment) with large data stores (e.g., Hadoop, HBase, etc)
- Experience working with cloud-based platforms (e.g., EC2, Azure, etc) and knowledge of MapReduce-like frameworks
- Knowledge of statistics (e.g., multivariate statistics, predictive modeling, controlled test design) a big plus
- A passion for problem-solving, delighting customers, and working with new technologies.
- Flexibility, comfort with ambiguity, and creativity are a must.
