Title: Lab Network Administrator
Location: San Jose, CA
Contract: 6+months
MUST BE ABLE TO DO IN-PERSON INTERVIEWS.
The Technical Marketing team is seeking a motivated Lab Network Administrator to help build, administer and provide technical support for Technical Marketing Labs.
The candidate will be involved in day to day support of system/lab configuration, assisting in designing, implementing, troubleshooting and ensuring that Networks are managed per established guidelines.
Skills:
-Typically requires 2-3 years of related experience.
-Solid understanding of a Network concepts, architectures and design.
-Excellent knowledge of Cisco Networks and Cisco IOS.
-Excellent knowledge in Cisco Unified Computing & Servers (UCS).
-Excellent Knowledge in VMware platforms such as ESX and VSphere.
-Hands on experience with Cisco products and TCP/IP
-CCNA / CCNP R&S, Troubleshooting.
-Good understanding of Wireless and Security is a Plus.
-Good organizational and time management skill.
-Excellent problem solving skills is a must.
-Excellent teamwork skills.
-Good research skills.
-Dedication. Willing to work alternate work schedules as needed.
-Will be spending alot of time in lab building
-must have good written and oral communication skills
-This Dept makes products for company and the candidate for this position must put together lab demonstrations to show how products work. This person will put together demonstration.
-Needs to have great understanding working with Cisco products.
-Someone with Operations experience and VMware experience is a must have!
-There will be lots of learning opportunities for this position.
Following skills are plus:
server-based operating system; understands inter-process communication, devices and device driver functionality, file system concepts, and systems administration environment.
Support level expertise of Windows and Linux skills (experience highly valued).
