Job Description:
This position will be to design, implement and manage a broad range of information technology-based systems and services for the global library department using both Drupal and Mediawiki platforms. You will maintain the department's intranet presence with a passion for helping to shape a 21st century corporate digital library.

You will maintain and extend existing library applications as needed by library staff and end users.

You will also be responsible for ongoing maintenance of library servers and related technology to ensure 24/7 accessibility, functionality and stability for a global employee base. You will regularly provide to management comprehensive statistics on all services we provide and work closely with management on technical issues and ongoing digital technology development, including proposing mobile security issues relating to information access. This includes access controls and identity management in a large enterprise with a mix of legacy and cloud components. You will engage internal IT regularly on issues of risk assessment and other relevant matters. You will also be maintaining the integrated library system and be engaged in the imminent upgrade from SIRSI Unicorn to SIRSI Symphony software.

You will be working with a highly collaborative team of librarians serving the entire company in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. It is a small team that works best with a fair amount of transparency so communication with staff about your work is expected throughout the day every day.

Minimum requirements:
You have developed and maintained at least 3 Drupal sites using Drupal 6 and Drupal 7, be able to estimate how long particular features will take to implement, know how to use Views with arguments, be able to use drupal.org to research various modules and know how to compare similar modules. You should understand and know how to use panels, be able to create subthemes and modify themes, create template pages, know the top troubleshooting responses, be able to use drush, and have created and developed a custom module. You have extensive server maintenance experience and several years of experience implementing web-based applications as well as the ability to communicate well, accurately and often with a multidisciplinary project team and our third party vendors. Excel skills are a given, as are a minimum of 5 years of consecutive IT experience.

Desired:
A strong curiosity for identifying and implementing cutting-edge software in the corporate environment as well as experience with cloud computing and the delivery of information through mobile device platforms. IT experience supporting library systems is highly desired.
