FPGA Engineer
Requirements
-5 years in datacom industry
-VHDL/Verilog, System Verilog
- Designed with Xilinx and Lattice components
-Synthesis tools such as Synplicity
-Designs targeted specifically to datacom requirements.
-Testing datacommunication equipment.
-Applying and testing various datacommunications and telecommunications standards
-Providing direction to technicians
-Following a design through from conception to production
-Developing test guidelines and work with test development engineers
-Experience in the use of the following test equipment
--Oscilloscopes
--Ethernet test equipment
--Logic analyzers
--BER test sets
--Frequency counters
Knowledge base:
-High speed Mux/Demux design.
- Verilog/VHDL, System Verilog
-Synplicity synthesis tools
- Signal processing basics
- C, C++, and basic programing ability
- Primarily Ethernet and secondarily E1/T1 based communications standards
-Must have good oral and written communication skills
-Microsoft Word and Excel
